Building a movement for student agency
REACH Ecosystem Partnerships leverages the power of collectives to create long-term change. Through partnerships, reusable resources, toolkits, and a train-the-trainer approach, we enable organisations across India to adopt and adapt student agency practices within their contexts. Together, we build a broader movement for student-led education and lasting systems change.

When children work in a team, they feel less shy. Children find it difficult to come forward and speak, but in their small team, they do not think about the right or wrong answer, but rather they put forward what is in their mind. The Agency Collective
As part of building REACH ecosystem, Involve plays an active role in convening The Agency Collective- a growing network of organisations coming together to share, build, and advocate for student- led learning,with the aim of driving long term, systemic change.
We do this through:
Education Revolution: platform is created for youth to host, moderate and share how agency shapes their learning
Agency Dialogues: conversations about student agency to spread the ideas as well as to learn from each other.
Community of practice: An active collaborative space where members run student led school projects, share learnings, create classroom tools and build supportive frameworks.

Activities and Interventions
Every program builds toward agency. From the classroom to the community each intervention expands the space where a child can lead.
Udyam Learning Foundation
- 12,629 students reached
- 2,245 peer leaders trained
- 109 schools, piloted across Patiala district, Punjab
Partnered with Punjab’s business blasters programme to shift students from simply following instructions to launching real business ventures. Students achieved a 9.5% higher understanding of business concepts compared to teacher – led models.
Sankalp Ek Prayas
- 5 districts in Chhattisgarh
- 69.6% centre teachers hold peer learning 2-4 times per week.
Partnered with seekh program (Chhattisgarh) to introduce peer learning to support mixed grade math classrooms which gradually expanded across multiple subjects. 82.8% of teachers rated it as a core classroom practice.
Teach For India (TFI)
- Chennai chapter - 110 students & 10 fellows in peer learning; 20 & 2 fellow in DDD
- Bangalore chapter - 171 students & 6 fellows in peer learning; 70 & 13 fellows in DDD
Partnered with Chennai and Bangalore chapters to introduce peer learning and Dream Design Do projects ( DDD), building fellow capacity for collaborative classrooms and student led problem solving .

Partnered to scale peer teaching across Punjab, enabling Student leaders to take complete ownership of their learning groups and resolve conflicts independently.

- An average of 5-10 peer groups per class
Partnered in Anekal, Karnataka , to embed inquiry based frameworks and peer learning directly into STEM education . Achieved a 19% improvement in conceptual clarity and 30% in problem – solving. .
Ecosystem partnerships extend deeply into research institutions. A large-scale Randomised Control Trial in Bhagalpur, co-led with Columbia and Harvard, is generating rigorous evidence on peer-led learning outcomes. By open-sourcing these research findings , Involve ensures the entire education field benefits from the data.
