How we build student agency
Designing for ownership, leadership, and confidence
At Involve, we design programs that put students at the centre of learning. Through peer teaching, project-based learning, school parliaments, and other student-led approaches, young people actively participate in and shape their educational experiences. By embedding these opportunities into everyday schooling, we help students build agency, confidence, ownership, and leadership skills that prepare them for life beyond the classroom.
Our Vision
A future where all children have age-appropriate agency to thrive in school and in their communities.
How Change Happens.
Creating student agency requires change at multiple levels.
Communities & Ecosystem
The wider ecosystem needs shared learning, partnerships, and collective action to advance student agency.
Systems
Systems need proven models and evidence that align with priorities such as FLN and can be adopted and sustained at scale.
Schools
Schools need structures that make student voice part of everyday practice.
Classrooms
Students need opportunities to lead and contribute. Teachers need support to create learning environments where participation and ownership can thrive.

What our work enables?
Classrooms where students actively participate in learning:
- Hands-on inquiry-based practices.
- Student-led peer learning and collaboration.
Students express their views through:
- Bal Sansads
- Participating in school governance through the SDMC
- Meaningful student leadership roles
Student-led practices drive learning outcomes and scale student agency through existing systems.
Partnerships, shared learning, and collective action → help spread and sustain student agency beyond classrooms & schools.

REACH with Ecosystem
REACH with Governments
Maargadarshi builds proof. It demonstrates what student agency looks like when deeply embedded within schools and classrooms.
REACH Ecosystem Partnerships spread and sustain proof. They bring together organisations, researchers, educators, and changemakers to build a collective movement around student agency.
REACH Government Partnerships scale proof. They work with public education systems to integrate student agency into the structures that reach millions of children.
